Learn to Understand Behavior—So You Can Support It with Confidence
Candace O’Sullivan, BCBA | Founder of the Behavioral Support Academy
Hi, I’m Candace O’Sullivan—Board Certified Behavior Analyst and founder of the Behavioral Support Academy.
For over 15 years, I’ve worked in Applied Behavior Analysis, supporting children with behavioral challenges across home, clinical, and school settings. I spent 10 years as the Lead BCBA in a public school district, where I developed behavior intervention plans, conducted FBAs, trained staff, and built specialized programs for students with complex needs.
During that time, I saw a consistent problem—parents were expected to make decisions about their child’s support without fully understanding the information in front of them.
FBAs were confusing. Behavior plans weren’t always clearly explained. And important decisions weren’t always grounded in clear, understandable data.
That’s why I created the Behavioral Support Academy.
At the Academy, I focus on helping you understand what’s actually happening—so you can approach your child’s support with clarity and confidence.
I break down complex behavioral concepts into simple, practical information so you can:
- Understand your child’s behavior and what’s driving it
- Make sense of FBAs and behavior plans
- Recognize what effective support should look like in school
- Feel more confident navigating meetings and decisions
